Hello Ragdoll lovers! I am 26 years old and the main caretaker behind Ragalicious Ragdolls. My husband is the behind the scenes helper. We believe in being honest and treating others with love! This means I always want to help you whenever possible.
My husband Josh works full time as a locksmith, but when he comes home he's always so happy to greet our cats. He helps me so much with all my kitty chores. I work part time as an Airbnb manager for my family.
I am absolutely obsessed with my cats. I actually have two breeds I focus on; Ragdolls & British Shorthairs. My husband and I started breeding show ragdolls when we got married in 2020. Before that I bred Scottish folds & munchkins for 4 years as a hobby, but was very disappointed in the overall breed health.
After purchasing my first ragdolls from overseas I quickly learned the importance of healthy lines, but also how much the ragdoll temperament can vary!
I've become hyper focused and extremely picky on mega cuddly ragdoll temperament. I've come to learn that it's impossible for every kitten to have the exact same traits. That's what makes each one so special! Great parents make great kittens. ❤️
I am a bit of a perfectionist! I always want my cats and kittens to be super clean. I am very on top of illnesses and problems, doing my due diligence so you can feel safe and happy with your kitten. Ofcourse this means ALL my cats are genetically tested for HCM, PKD1 and do not have a history of FIP in their lines. I do not breed any cat that is sick, a carrier for any diseases or possesses any undesirable behavior trait.
My health guarantee and contract reflect how much I believe in my cats. I guarantee for FIP and any genetic illnesses till the age of 3. I am always ready to help at a moments notice.
My cats are adored and spoiled by my husband and I. Once the Kittens are litter trained they are allowed free access to my living & dining room.
They are a cherished part of our life. I brush my cats teeth, groom them every day and all our kitties have regular check ups at our local vet. All our kittens are handled from day one and exposed to a variety of sights, sounds and smells. They are experienced with cat shows & kitten cuddle visitors!
My kittens are NEVER locked in a bathroom or bedroom and forgotten. They don't hiss and hide under the bed because they are used to being around commotion & guests!. My cats are not caged, or unhealthy from being fed a poor nutrient kibble diet. I raw feed because it's what's best for them & their future owners. It's definitely not the easier route, but I spare no expense for them!
The Ragdoll's Breed standard is outlined by specific structure looks with a sweet disposition.
Ragdolls can have many different personality traits & temperaments. They can have various cuddliness, activity and confidence levels. Every litter I produce my adopters fill out my 'Temperament & Traits' once their kitten is older.
These results are viewable under every Queen's parents profile. This gives my families a better idea of what the litter will turn out like. It's not an exact science as kittens individual personalities, but them as much information as possible.
My personal requirements for my mama's and dad's:
Week 0-2: Kittens are born in one of my kittens are rooms in a safe enclosed pop up fabric kennel. The room is set to 85 degrees and mama's have a soft fabric nursing box. Kittens have fresh washable pads and weighed daily to check their progress! During these first two weeks moms may try to move their kittens so they will not have free access to leave.
My husband and I take turns checking on kittens what feels like every hour! We want to make sure kittens are comfortable & at a safe temperature. I gently touch the kittens for very short periods so they become accustomed early to being held.
Initially I begin with short intermissions of petting all areas of the kitten’s body softly (paw pads, belly, tail, around the face).
Week 3-4: Kittens eyes are now fully open and kittens are now able to be carried comfortably. They have started to venture outside of their nursing box and meow sooo much! they go limp when held and love me giving kisses. My husband, myself or one of my kitty helpers will carry the kittens around the house or while doing online work.
I practice light stressors such as holding them upside down and continue to touch their paws. Can't forget to smother them in kisses! At the end of this age they are introduced to litter boxes and raw food while mainly nursing.
I also start to play their YouTube TV (puppy desensitization videos) during the day. This helps desensitize kittens to loud noises!
Week 5-8: Kittens are exploring and becoming very playful. I now take them to different rooms of the house to explore and encourage cuddling on the bed. This met with mixed results and some meowing haha.
They are used to more 'aggressive handling' and are comfortable with all types of interaction. At this time they receive their first bath while using a lickable cat treat. They will receive 2-3+ baths before going home. I also have guests start coming to socialize babies.
Week 8-10: Kittens are still being held daily, kissed very frequently and interreacting with guests. Kittens have been are now introduced to the Petkit Automatic Litter robot and get to explore the living room now!
They play with even more guests during Kitten Cuddles Visits and experience a variety of different people. They become part of the home and our family. I will do a few training hours of hanging out in their individual carriers. I make sure all kittens have acquired appropriate grooming & litter box habits and are outgoing & ready to adjust to their new homes. We practice nail cutting more and brushing!
Week 11-14: During this time kittens will have gotten spayed and neutered. I make sure they are in great health for their new homes as well as fully litter box trained.
Kittens are super used to all aspects of grooming, which includes brushing and nails. Every kitten should be easy to handle and touch! You should expect to keep up with holding as they age. If you do not use a skill, you loose it!

We make our own raw food sourced from our local butcher. The meat is organic and grass-fed.
Mothers live in a pop up fabric pen a week before they give birth.
We keep the litters in one of our 2 kitten nursery rooms. There are ring cameras aimed at each pen we can check on our kittens at any time.
I change the bedding daily, assist in birthing and administer supportive care such as milk replacement.
We keep the rooms quiet and protected from draft so the comfort of mama.
The moms that get along can raise their kittens together. Each mom has access to come and go as she pleases once kittens read 4-6 weeks of age. Mom's usually spend less and less time with kittens as they start to wean.
I use washable peepads and flushable cat litter for training kittens. Once kittens are 5-6 weeks I add in toys and scratc

I use washable peepads and flushable cat litter for training kittens. Once kittens are 5-6 weeks I add in toys and scratchers. Everyday I spend atleast 30 mins-1 hour per litter handling and socializing every kitten.
Every one to two days I change bedding, scoop litter, sanitize toys, bath messy kittens and clean up food from raw feeding (it can get messy!).
All kittens learn how to use Petkit automatic litter boxes at 10+ weeks before leaving. I also have a TV in the room that plays desensitizing sounds throughout the day.
My cats have access to my entire home with the majority of their time spent in the 1000 sqft living room.
Almost everyday I swiffer floors, comb kitties, clean water fountains and carpet clean cat trees. Every weeks I clip nails. Every 2-6 months I deep bathe each kitty. My cats are never caged and all live together! This can include rotating cats who do not 'mark' between bedrooms.
