Van De Hippe Kip ‘Brittany’

Brittany is one of those ragdolls who purrs the moment she’s near you. She’s always following us from room to room—making eye contact & biscuits, trying to taste my smoothies, or rolling across my laptop while I’m working. She’s quite the little charmer and knows exactly how to steal attention. She gentle and slowly moves herself on top of my regardless what I am doing!

She is hyper obsessed with licking my hair and curling up by my head. To me, she seems like a one person kitty, she really clings to me—following me around, sniffing everything I am doing, and always wanting to be part of the home. She is pretty mellow though so she does take lots of naps and she’s not a naughty kitty! She is extremely well-behaved.

As she’s grown, she’s become even more affectionate and people-oriented. It’s not uncommon for guests to end up cradling her like a baby while she soaks in all the love. She’s mellow, calm, and incredibly sweet—never loud or demanding, just soft and soulful in the way she connects. She takes a liking to you She will paw you to give her more attention!

Brittany has more of a fluffy coat when she is not ‘in season’. She weighs about 10lbs. 

Brittany’s kittens have all inherited her mellow, gentle temperament. Brittany’s first 5 kittens, were all sired by Bruce, and tend to take after their parents in the best ways—calm, fluffy, and effortlessly easygoing.

These kittens are known for their laid-back personalities and gentle, sweet purrs in the home. They’re not overly demanding or intense, but they do love being around their people and are often nearby, blending into the rhythm of family life.

One of their most silly traits is how much they love to make biscuits. Whether it’s on blankets, pillows, or laps, you’ll constantly find those little paws kneading away—it’s almost a signature move of Brittany’s litters. They also have a thing for napping belly-up, sprawled out like little fluffy poof balls, just waiting for someone to come give them a good belly rub. They aren’t high-energy or chaotic—instead, they bring a peaceful, comforting presence to the home. Sweet, silly, and chill to the core, these kittens thrive in environments where they can just be part of the family without pressure or fuss.

In addition to her litters with Bruce, Brittany also had one singleton kitten with a different, very cuddly sire. That kitten turned out to be incredibly affectionate, lap-oriented, and a total social butterfly. It gives us a lot of hope that future pairings with more cuddly males may enhance the affectionate nature in Brittany’s future kittens even more.

• Get excited for food but are otherwise calm

• Nap-heavy lifestyle (4/5 sleep in bed with their people)

• Friendly and unafraid of guests

• 3/6/ were notably chatty

• 2/6 leaned more playful

• 4/6 enjoy being cuddled, especially lap time

• 6/6 were easy to groom and trim nails

• 5/6 kept themselves impressively clean
