Just after making a deposit on your kitten, there will still be several weeks before your kitten can go home. They will visit the office 1-2 times and kittens usually go home around 12-14 weeks. This length of time allows the kitten to become strong and develop adequate social and grooming skills. You’ll want to set up a designated kitten room for the first few weeks when your kitten goes home.
We are a 100% raw fed cattery. While you are not required to feed raw, I highly recommend it! If you'd like to learn how to raw feed visit How To Give A Raw Diet page for detailed information.
All of our kittens grow up to learn how to use a litter robot and automatic water fountains.
Week 0-2: Kittens are born in one of my kittens are rooms in a safe enclosed bedding area.
Kittens have heating pad and washable pads. Mom has her own clearly loved pens play pen area just for her. During these first two weeks moms may try to move their kittens so they will not have free access to leave.
My husband and I take turns checking on kittens what feels like every hour! We want to make sure kittens are comfortable & at a safe temperature. I gently touch the kittens for very short periods so they become accustomed early to being held.
Initially begin with short intermissions of petting all areas of the kitten’s body softly (paw pads, belly, tail, around the face).
Week 3-4: Kittens eyes are now fully open and kittens are more comfortable being held longer. At this time my husband and I will carry a kitten around the house or while watching tv. I extend the duration of holding time.
I hold them upside down, touch their paws, smother them in kisses and more. At this age they are introduced to litter boxes and raw food while still drinking mainly milk. They learn how to drink from the water fountain.
I start to play their YouTube TV which is puppy desensitization videos. This really helps create unfazed kittens!
Week 5-8: Kittens are exploring and becoming very playful. I now take them to different rooms of the house to explore and encourage cuddling on the bed.
They are used to more 'aggressive handling' and are comfortable with all types of interaction. At this time they receive their first bath while using a lickable cat treat. They will receive 2-3 baths before going home.
Week 8-10: Kittens are still being held daily, kissed very frequently and interreacting with guests. Kittens have been used to using the Petkit Automatic Litter robot and get to explore the living room now!
They play with guests during Kitten Cuddles Visits and experience a variety of different people. They become part of the home and our family. I will do a few training hours of hanging out in their individual carriers.
I make sure all kittens have acquired appropriate grooming & litter box habits and are outgoing & ready to adjust to their new homes. During this time they sleep in the bed with my husband and I.
I absolutely love this age where I can wake up to purring faces.
Week 11-14: During this time kittens will have gotten spayed and neutered. I make sure they are in great health for their new homes as well as fully litter box trained.
Kittens are super used to all aspects of grooming, which includes brushing and nails. Every kitten should be easy to handle and touch!

This is a preventative measure for three reasons: 1. To make sure your cat is seen by multiple vets & cleared healthy!2. Incase during the stress of rehoming your cat becomes ill. Vet appointments can be hard to schedule last minute. 3. To ask any further questions about future vaccines & medical care for your vet & to become aquatinted.
All our cats are genetically tested through Wisdom Panel & Base Paws which include HCM, PKD1, MSPV1 and 100+ other genetic conditions. You can find links to testing under each king & Queen on the Parents page.
Each cat additionally is tested for FELV/FIV and fecal & Upper respiratory PCR screened before integrating into my cattery.

While Kitten Cuddle Corner is not included with my kitten adoptions, those who have left a deposit can book an appointment if available. Keep in mind that the purpose of kitten cuddles is not for a meet and greet of all my cats. Some cats may not be viewable during your visit.
Can't wait to see you!
Yes, ragdolls do shed. They are not hypoallergenic and cannot be guaranteed to be so.
They are however moderate shedders that do not require a lot of grooming or brushing. If you think you may have allergies to this breed I offer a unique option called the T-Shirt test. You can request a T-Shirt for $25 which several of my adult cats will lay in, then mailed to you. You would wear the T-shirt and see your reaction!
This has been very helpful for several of my families who were unsure about adopting.
Ragdolls are very loving human oriented cats, but find great enjoyment in the company of other cats. While it is not mandatory, your ragdoll kitten/cat would most likely enjoy a friend. You can get a friend for your ragdoll at any point in their lives, but the general rule is boy & girl pairs are the best, then boy & boy and lastly girl & girl pairs ( them taking the longest to adjust to one another, if at all). You do not have to be home 24/7 to own a ragdoll. I find that the majority of my ragdolls sleep all day and are more active in the early morning and evenings. This would be perfect for someone with a regular schedule who has time to cuddle with their kitty when they are home. A ragdoll would not work for you if you are gone for days at a time as your kitty will grow very lonely. Ragdolls are bred to be companion cat’s and enjoy being around their humans.
If you notice your cat wants to play, cuddle or overall wants more attention than you can give, getting a friend would greatly improve your cat’s happiness. Not all cats need a friend for instance if your cat is dominant or a lazy ragdoll they will likely not need a friend and be perfectly content with just you.
If buyer chooses to walk kitten outside, that is perfectly fine! Make sure to always be safe and avoid association with stray cats, keep your cat up to date on shots and recommended to clean paws after walks. Do not allow your kitty to eat anything off the ground.
Early spay/neuter is essential for preventing unwanted pregnancies and a much quick recovery time. Rescues and breeders alike have been practicing early/spay neuters with great success and will continue to do. We love our kittens deeply and would not allow anything to hurt them. In general, kittens are easier to alter due to less body fat, anesthetic and emotional recovery time. Click the link below to learn more about the benefits of altering your cat.
A show quality ragdoll or kitten meets all standards of the ragdoll breed by Cat Fancier Association and The International Cat Association guidelines. Click to view: The Ragdoll Breed Standard. You can see a list of all traits that are qualified/disqualified. We mark a kitten as ‘show quality’ it means it has the potential to show with no disqualify marks. There is no guarantee on how a kitten will fare or its ability to show. Some cats do not like the show ring or travel associated with it! Some kittens may fare better than others in the ring or be favored more so by particular judges. A show kitten is other wise ‘perfect’. I price pet, 1st pick show & Prada kittens differently.
Yes! Before bringing your new kitten home, we have a kitten contract to be agreed upon and signed. The contract describes the rights and responsibilities of both the cattery and the new owner. Read our health guarantee.
We encourage you to compare our contract to those from other breeders. We believe our contract has one of the best health guarantees you will find. We’re one of the few catteries with extensive health testing performed on our cats. We also guarantee our cats against serious congenital disease and defects .

What's in your Health Guarantee?
First of all, the term “health guarantee” isn’t quite proper. Nobody can guarantee that anything living won’t get sick, whether cats, dogs, or even humans. So think of it as a health warranty. You’re spending time locating a beautiful pedigree Ragdoll cat, and you’ll invest time, care, money, and love in your new companion. You deserve a reasonable degree of protection!
At Ragalicious Ragdolls Cattery, our health guarantee consists of two parts:
Part 1 protects you from receiving a sick kitten. You must have your kitten examined by a licensed veterinarian within 10 business days of leaving our care. If your veterinarian determines that the kitten is ill and/or unfit for sale, you may return the kitten and we’ll replace with one of similar quality. No refunds.
A few important details: First, we require an original written statement from your veterinarian. Second, we won’t reimburse for veterinary fees. Third, kitten shipping fees are not refundable.
Examples of conditions that would entitle you to a replacement kitten include life-threatening heart conditions and degenerative nerve disorders. In other words, conditions that affect longevity or quality of life. with a replacement kitten.
Examples of conditions that would entitle you to a replacement kitten include life-threatening heart conditions and degenerative nerve disorders. In other words, conditions that effect longevity or quality of life.
Examples of conditions that wouldn’t qualify for replacement are innocent heart murmurs, allergies or treatable parasites. In other words, conditions that an otherwise healthy cat can live with and be happy.
In general, we would accept a veterinarian’s opinion of what constitutes a serious defect, but we may require a second opinion.
Our babies are adopted quickly, so reach out to reserve your furever friend or to ask any questions.
