April is from a very respectable breeder in the Netherlands, and she absolutely does not disappoint. I’ve gotten other cats from her before, and I’ve always loved the lines. April has been incredibly sweet from the beginning and is probably the biggest lap cat I’ve ever had. She is so floppy, easygoing, and people oriented. She genuinely loves being around people and will climb onto whoever she can. Every guest who meets her ends up obsessed with her because she’s just that naturally loving and social.
She’s around 10 pounds, so more of a moderate size for a Ragdoll girl, but her coat makes her look huge. Her fur is extremely fluffy and silky, and honestly one of the easiest coats I’ve had to maintain. It only mats slightly here and there. She has that really soft bunny-like texture that people constantly comment on when they hold her.
Energy wise, I would consider her more medium energy. She enjoys her cat trees, likes climbing, and likes being involved wherever people are, but she’s not overly intense or wild. She’s just very balanced and easy to live with. To me, she’s the perfect example of the sweet, floppy, affectionate Ragdoll personality that made me fall in love with the breed in the first place. I honestly cannot get enough of her, and neither can anyone else who meets her.
April’s first litter is still very young, but so far I’m already really loving the variety of personalities coming from her. One little girl is an extreme lap cat already. She is incredibly well mannered, floppy, easygoing, and just melts into people the second you pick her up. Another girl is very affectionate and social, but has a slightly more independent personality while still being very easy to live with, which reminds me a lot of her dad. Then there’s the boy, who has turned into such a superstar puppy cat already. He is fearless, outgoing, playful, and extremely loving. He wants to be involved in everything and has a huge personality.
I honestly love seeing the range of temperaments developing in this litter because they all still have that sweet, people oriented foundation while expressing it in different ways. It’s been really fun watching their personalities become more obvious as they grow. They’re still too young for me to fully evaluate long term temperament and traits, but I’ll definitely report back once they’re older and have completed their temperament and personality quizzes.
April has been tested for over 100+ genetic conditions
